Our goal at Commonwealth Staffing is to build lasting partnerships with the clients we serve and to help the candidates we represent take the right next step in their careers.

We take the time to get to know our clients’ businesses, their company culture, and their plans for growth to ensure we recruit candidates who not only make an immediate impact in their business, but who will also grow with their company for years to come.

Finding the right candidate for a position requires alignment in three key areas: technical competency, culture fit, and alignment with professional and personal goals.

We find relevant candidates through referrals, networking and headhunting activities, and via online applications to our job postings. In order to properly make these evaluations we work through the following Recruitment Process:

Initial Phone Screening – In our initial phone screen, one of our consultants conducts a phone interview with a candidate to discuss their background, what they are looking for in a new role, and determine if they have the requisite skills and relevant job knowledge to move forward in the process. If the candidate demonstrates the knowledge and experience needed for the role they will be invited to have a more thorough face-to-face interview.

Face-to-Face Interview – During the face-to-face interview our consultants go through an in-depth evaluation of a candidate’s technical skills and converse about the candidate’s previous work history and career aspirations. This provides our team an opportunity to give advice and guidance to candidates while also evaluating their potential fit with our client based on technical competency, culture and values, and their professional goals.

Reference checks – An important part of our process is conducting professional reference checks. Our consultants learn a lot about a candidate during their phone and in-person interviews, but speaking with a previous supervisor gives us a fuller and deeper picture of a candidate’s skills, ability to work with others, and overall impact to an office. Commonwealth Staffing is committed to taking at least two professional references for each candidate represented.
